WHAT IS BALBOA? It is a vintage swing dance featuring a close partner connection, intricate footwork variations, and playful musicality! It’s named after the Balboa Peninsula in Southern California, where the dance originates.
JEREMY MOHNEY plays saxophone, sings the blues, writes original music and leads one tight band. He is influenced by greats such as Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet, and Benny Goodman.
